The Meridien Court Fireworks policy is loosely based on the fireworks policy of the City of Union City. In deference to homeowners, who have raised concerns about the stress fireworks cause their pets, use of fireworks is restricted to July 4th only. Safety is a major concern and the board will vigorously enforce safety violations, particularly the ban on illegal fireworks. Only state-approved “safe and sane" fireworks may be used to celebrate Independence Day. You must use your fireworks on your own property.

  • Fireworks may only be used on July 4th, from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Union City police will issue citations for illegal fireworks. The board of directors may independently levy fines up to $200, per incident, for illegal fire works.
  • No fireworks in the pool area, park area or on the street.
  • No fireworks within 10 feet of homes or buildings.
  • Scorch marks and burn marks visible from common areas must be cleaned up completely within 24 hours.
